Implants

Introduction

Ever since Branemark’s chance discovery of the osseointegrative properties of titanium, the metal has set the standard for dental implant materials since decades

Titanium Implants

We can now see problems with titanium implants, so their a lot research going on to improve those implants. I have found my way too solve those problems.  We divide titanium implants mainly into two groups:

  • Bone level
  • Tissue level

Factors influencing the success rate of titanium implant –

  • surgical technique
  • position of the implant
  • straight vs tilted implant
  • surface of the implant
  • cleaning process of the implant
  • abutment type
  • Prosthodontic Design.
  • stress free upper construction.
  • patient collaboration
  • regularly check ups.

Zirconia Implants

In recent years, however, increasing patient demand for more biocompatible and natural esthetics has seen ceramic materials like zirconium oxide (Zirconia) become a popular alternative. A strong and biocompatible material, zirconia’s viability as a long term dental implant option has continued to improve as developments in its manufacturing processes have occurred. But the handling of the factors below is different to titanium implants.

  • Surgical technique
  • Position of the implant
  • Straight vs tilted implant

Less problem factors

  • Surface of the implant
  • Cleaning process of the implant
  • Abutment type
  • Prosthodontic Design.
  • Stress free upper construction.
  • Patient collaboration
  • Regularly check ups.

We conduct courses on how to handle these implants with precise and predictable results.
